IN ATHENS SOME DO BLACK METAL YOGA

It's about a black metal course that took place in Athens.





A black metal yoga course was started in Athens by Manos Nomikos. The hole thing came about when Manos was on Facebook trying to figure out how to create an event. As an experiment he posted "Black Metal Yoga in the historic center of Athens".
He wrote that the participation was free and those who wanted to take part just had to go to the appointment given at Aghia Irini Square, near Monastiraki.
Manos himself said that he had no intention of doing such an event and that the hole thing was just an experiment to see how events worked on facebook.

The next day, He say that more than 1,500 people had said they would come and another 3,500 people were interested. Seeing all the interest in his project, he decided to do it for real. He got in contact with Niki Haya, a yoga instructor and started organizing it. After a few months, the first Black Metal Yoga event in Athens took place, on the weekend of March 3 and 4. Manos played songs from his extensive collection of black metal records and Niki instructed the class.

Niki thought that the combination of black metal, an extreme and violent genre of metal music, and yoga was perfectly in line with the concept of yoga, because the meaning of the word yoga is the opposition of ordure and chaos, light and dark, yoga and metal.
