Finland is embarking on happiness tourism
This newspaper article has been published by the French newspaper “Le Monde” on the 12th April 2019.
Hipster look and stoicism all Finnish, Niko Kavenius, 36 years old, has easy happiness. Cultivate your garden on the island of Utö, ten hours from Helsinki, in the Turku archipelago. Picking berries and mushrooms in the forest, with his partner Linda and their chihuahua. Sleep under the stars on a deserted islet in the Baltic Sea. A sauna session. "That's enough to make me happy," says the mobile application developer.

Do you want to try the experience? Nothing could be easier: Niko is one of ten Finns, chosen from among three hundred volunteers, who will be "rented" for free this summer to allow foreign tourists to share their lives for three days and thus discover Finnish happiness.
If you are interested, simply go to Rentafinn.com and submit your application as a video before April 21. The only conditions: to talk a little English and tolerate the presence of a camera.
