Finland denies asylum to many Jehovah´s Witnesses from Russia

Over the past two years, more than 200 asylum applications of Jehovah´s Witnesses from Russia have been received by the finnish authorities.The Jehovah's Witnesses are an international religious organization that Russia banned in 2017. The Finnish Migration Service has rejected the majority of the asylum applications of Russian Jehovah's Witnesses because it does not consider the ban to be a real threat to members of the group in their home country. That´s why only 10% of the 250 applicants for asylum received a positive feedback.

Angela Merkel avoids Controversy

This piece of news is from a Finnish news website called ''Helsingin Sanomat'' and was posted on April 12. 2019 https://www.hs.fi/ulkomaat/art-2000006069077.html The german Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel had decided to renovate her office. This included taking two paintings down.These two paintings happened to be by Emil Nolden (1867–1951), a German expressionist painter . At first glance it may just be because of  aesthetic reasons but then the second reason might be because of Nolden was discovered to have had some anti-semitic thoughts. Anti-semitism meaning the discrimination or hatred towards Jewish people. This luckily didn’t spark any serious controversy. The reason these paintings were taken down might have something to do with the fact that an art gallery in Germany wished to have only one of the paintings, but when Chancellor Merkel discovered the slightly dark origin of the paintings, she decided to send both of them to the gallery. France: Hundred of dolphins mutilated in France

Found with deep wounds, their tails broken and flippers fractured because of the nets.
