Election in Finland
The Social Democrats in Finland have become the
strongest force with 40 of 200 seats in the parliament. In second
place follows the right-wing populist party "The Finns"
with 39 seats. The distance between the two parties is very small (
the election winners won 17,7 % of the vote and “ The Finns” 17,5
percent. “ The Finns” and The Social Democrats were closely
followed by the conservative national Collection Party who won 17
percent of the vote (= 38 seats ). The Liberal Center Party of the
previous head of government Juha Sipilä lost 18 seats, which
contrite Sipilä. Other parties like The Greens and “Vas”
increased noticeably. Despite the victory of The Social Democrats, a
coalition must be formed, which could become problematic...
